Nestled within the historic Old Blacksmith’s Yard, just off Sadler Gate, The Forge was established in December 2018 and emerged onto Derby's culinary scene in March 2019. 


Founded by the experienced duo, Sam and Selina Wallis, who previously owned a successful pub in Ashby, The Forge is a vibrant steakhouse and bar conveniently located in the heart of the city centre. 


Our signature offering includes sizzling steaks served on ultra-hot ‘Black Rock’ slabs, allowing guests to customise their dining experience right at the table. But that's not all – our bar boasts an impressive array of nearly 100 different gins and a diverse selection of beers, from classic favourites like Hop House and Guinness to specialty brews like Estrella. 


With an inviting outdoor seating area, perfect for al fresco dining during the summer months, and live music events gracing our stage most weekends, The Forge is more than just a restaurant – it's a destination for exceptional food, drinks, and entertainment.
